kuafu joins the ESA BIC CH cohort #19

Meet our newest cohort of ESA BIC Switzerland startups! 🎉

Last week, we officially onboarded the new cohort of startups joining the ESA BIC CH program. With this milestone, they have now entered their two-year incubation period, and we are very much looking forward to working closely with them in the months ahead.

This cohort brings together a strong set of technologies addressing key challenges across space systems and downstream applications:

kuafu – Transferring advanced AI-powered energy management from terrestrial electrical grids to spacecraft and space power systems.
K2 Photonics – Developing laser frequency-comb modules for high-precision sensing and timing in space.
Embodied AI – Creating soft robotic manipulators that safely handle delicate objects and navigate unpredictable environments, enabling greater adaptability in space robotics.
EM Path Tech – Accelerating satellite antenna development with a compact, real-time RF testing solution that remove the need for bulky anechoic chambers.
Ionic Wind – Delivering silent, vibrationless solid-state cooling solutions for electronics, using space-derived power conversion and eliminating mechanical failure points.
Chirp Light – Enabling robust autonomous approach and docking for spacecraft with compact 4D FMCW LiDAR sensors that operate reliably under extreme lighting conditions.

We are excited to support these teams as they further develop, test, and commercialize their innovations within the ESA BIC CH ecosystem.
