kuafu contributes to two pilots at Energie 360° on lower EV charging costs and on flexibility that the grid operator can request. The pilots run at the headquarters of Energie 360°, together with Energie 360°, Smart Energy Link AG and SmartGridready.
In the "Smart Charging" pilot, our technology controls the charging of the company's electric vehicle fleet. It charges the cars when solar power from the on-site PV system is available or when the grid tariff is low. First results show that this lowers charging costs by at least 10 percent.
In the second pilot, a SmartGridready demonstration project, Energie 360° and a distribution system operator define a standard communication between our technology and the grid operator. The aim is that the grid operator can request flexibility from the site when the grid is close to overload. Test operation runs from 2026.
Buildings and e-mobility become active parts of the grid. When we control EV charging, photovoltaics and storage intelligently, we lower infrastructure costs and make the grid more resilient.
